Our class wanted to thank Alexis for sharing some of her families' culture and traditions with our classroom. She brought in a Chinese New Year envelope for each student and inside was a shiny quarter! Thank you Alexis for being so generous and sharing some of yourself with us!

Catholic Schools Week 2011 - A+ for America's Schools!
We have been doing some fun and exciting activities to celebrate our students for Catholic Schools Week this year. From pajama day to visits from other Catholic schools in the area, our 3rd Grade has enjoyed the fact that they belong to our family at Joseph Catholic School. Please view our photos page to see a glimpse into some of the activities your child has done this week. As always, thank you for your support with the activities this week. We could not have done it without you!

Calling All Birthdays!
For the third grade students with past birthdays (August - November) and the ones in December, we are still missing many "Birthday Boxes" from you! I am taking 2 "Birthday Boxes" over to Helping Hands in Milwaukie, OR today and hope to have more to take over after the first of the year. If you cannot remember what "Birthday Boxes" are all about, please visit the page on this blog describing the purpose and contents of the box. Also, if you have any questions please let me know. This is an exciting service project opportunity for the third graders to give to the community.
Thank you for your support in this,
Ms. Caughlan
